Practice Growth Partner founder recognized for her work advancing legal strategy, AI readiness, organizational change and the future of legal service delivery
SAN DIEGO, CA, UNITED STATES, August 24, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Practice Growth Partner announced that founder Lana Manganiello has been recognized by the San Diego Business Journal as a 2026 Woman of Influence in Law, marking another inclusion among the publication’s recognized leaders in the legal community.
Manganiello advises law firms and legal organizations on business strategy, organizational growth, technology adoption and the human systems required to turn ambitious initiatives into lasting change. Her work increasingly focuses on one of the most consequential challenges facing the profession: how legal organizations can adopt artificial intelligence in a way that improves how people work, earns trust and produces meaningful organizational value.
Manganiello currently leads the change management and communications workstream for a multi-stage artificial intelligence readiness and adoption initiative at a public-sector legal organization operating across four offices. The engagement is designed to move from organizational needs assessment and workflow discovery through readiness analysis, gap analysis, leadership decision-making, product-agnostic technology evaluation, phased adoption and ongoing measurement.
Her role centers on the human side of transformation. Manganiello facilitates workflow discovery sessions across roles and offices, designs organizational readiness research, conducts cultural assessments, identifies potential change champions and sources of resistance, develops leadership and employee communications, advises on adoption sequencing, creates role-specific messaging and manages feedback and adoption health checks throughout implementation.
“Artificial intelligence is creating an extraordinary opportunity for legal organizations to rethink how work gets done, but successful adoption begins well before anyone selects a tool,” Manganiello said. “Leaders need to understand how their people actually work, where friction exists, what employees need from the technology and what concerns are likely to affect adoption. The strongest strategy is built from that understanding.”
Manganiello’s approach begins with structured conversations with the people performing the work. Those discussions document how matters and administrative processes actually move through an organization, where employees lose time, where knowledge is difficult to access and where technology could create meaningful capacity. Readiness surveys and adoption strategies are then built around the language, workflows and priorities identified through that discovery process.
Through Practice Growth Partner, Manganiello works with law firms, legal departments and legal organizations navigating periods of growth and transformation. Her engagements span strategy, organizational change, AI readiness and adoption, business development, professional visibility, leadership development and the design of systems that make strategic priorities easier to execute consistently.
Her broader work examines how technology, process, client expectations and changing economics are reshaping the legal profession. She is the author of Careers in Business Law: Forging Your Path to Success, published by the American Bar Association, and regularly writes and speaks about legal service delivery, law firm economics, business development, professional authority and the future of legal practice.
Manganiello also serves as Past President and Board Member of Counsel for Justice. During her presidency, she became the first non-lawyer to lead the organization and participated in its transition from the nonprofit historically affiliated with the Los Angeles County Bar Association into an independent legal services organization.
The San Diego Business Journal’s Women of Influence in Law recognition highlights women whose leadership, professional accomplishments and contributions are shaping the legal profession and the communities it serves.
